Converting snooker pockets

Can you convert an old Brunswick snooker table to regular pockets? What's a new set of rails cost?

I'm not a mechanic, but I believe new subrails must be installed to facilitate a pool table pocket being cut. I paid $1,500 to have the subrails extended on my pool table and new Artemis rubber installed. I would imagine it to be substantially more than that to convert snooker rails to pool table rails.

Maybe its an optical illusion but the facings look curved, like they are not straight, in this picture.
