Which shots give you AIMING problems?

Wow I'll give that a shot, straight pool is pretty much the only pool game I'll play

I use that technique on some combos too. I pick a point on the second object ball and then I bank the first object ball off that point.

In my mind I picture a bank shot and I visualize where the 1st object ball would bank to if the point on the second object ball was a rail.

Experiment doing that and let me know if this mind trick works for you too. Maybe start with easier combos and then progress to tough as you get a feel for it.

I attempted it today but didn't have enough time for to dive into it.
I did however try the side pocket opening straight pool break, and it's now my new favorite, I wanted to improve on the break shot and add to what I can do, normally the ball next to the stack into the corner is my go to like the image shows, but it's been hit and miss I have to cut it and use spin, like I said I didn't have enough time to try your banking technique on that shot

Weekly seeing an improvement in high runs as I'm going out and only playing straight pool, which I haven't done in so long,

Oddly I find myself missing short 45% cut shots. The object ball is on the spot, I miss my position for the corner and find myself mid way between the corner and side. It is about an equal cut to the corner or side. It looks like a simple cut but when I get down low I seem to lose perspective. I see it more clearly in a more upright stance but I normally get as low on the cue ball as I can. It is just these short cut shots where I seem to lose the aim. Is shooting them from a more upright stance a good answer or should I work more on my perspective in a normal low stance?

There is a trick you can try for any blind cut. As you go down, pause in a higher position than you will normally shoot the ball from and really focus on your aimpoint. Then go down while keeping that aimpoint, and shoot the shot like you normally would, even if it seems wrong when down over the ball. Hope that helps.

Thank you. I will give that a try. I do see them better when I am more erect then adjust when I get down. I will try not adjusting.
