These are the tan version of the Black Beauty ( black paper micarta cue made famous by Corsair ).
One has pplheart handle . Forearm is cored with hard maple.
One has maple underwrap. Forearm is cored with granadillo.

No finish yet. Just pinned.
I'll be making more.
They sure hit sporty. And they are ding resistant.
You really gotta whack them to ding them.

Oh my god... I want that PH handle cue so bad. Please tell me it's going to be left wrapless. So Sick!

I see the are sort of opposites underneath. Would you say there's a huge difference in hit?

I am bursting with curiosity to see these finished.

Seeing them refreshed my interest in Corsair cues so I went and read up on them and looked at a lot of pictures.

They both are really cool, but just like the other responders the PH cue really blows me away. I prefer a wrap though so I will be curious to see the other cue once it has a wrap.

Your mention of the durability is interesting.
I have been thinking of having a serious three piece cue designed to fit in a Harley hard saddle bag. Perhaps the Micarta construction should be considered in such an endeavor...

You definitely got the gears turning over here. The cues are really cool. Since there is so much already said about everything else I will compliment your ring work. I think it is very tasteful and classy on these cues.

Thanks for showing off!

.

Joey What is the weight before finish of the purple heart butt? Very nice looking cue

15.5 oz.
No weight bolt or metal in the A-joint.
SS joint screw is a reduced weight kind.
It only weighs .8 oz.
The cue is now reserved.

I'm making one with figured bocote and goncalo alves handles now too.

Here are a sister and a cousin.
The black and purple was started by my late mentor.

Really like the wood combo's. That Bocote is special but then again so is the PH. Really time for a visit as there is so much going on. As always your wood choices are spot on.

One of them has matching shafts now ( Coats owns it ).

I'm tentatively planning in flying to Singapore in September and taking a few cues there . Two would be like the ones shown here.

The purple Zyler-Joey cue is pretty cool.
Since we're all family here, I'll take the brother, ever the mother-in-law.
Wait...Keep the mother-in-law in California, on the north coast of San Diego.
What does your cousins friend look like?

Not micarta but ebony and some red wood handle.
Pair of dirty white shafts.
Just delivered.
Few more in the completion stages.
