Yesterday, my cue-maker shipped my cue from Warren, PA around noontime.
My cue arrived this morning within 24 hrs and the package was perfect & so
was my cue........timely delivery from 3k miles away within 24 hrs....I've used
USPS the last 1/2 dozen times for all my pool cues & it's a blem-free record.

There are bound to be mishaps with any carrier but I trust USPS and my other
new custom is shipping in about a week and it will be USPS overnight / next day
delivery. It costs a little more but isn't your cue worth the extra cost? Mine are.

Pics or it didn't happen. Let the cat out of the bag!!!!

I ordered something from a member here and it's been in my states processing center for two weeks now. It was shipped USPS. I'm sure it will be fine though.

I have generally had excellent results from the USPS. I do have a suggestion for shippers, though, if you're using the flat-rate boxes. They seem to be made of the lowest-grade cardboard these days. Several boxes in a recent shipment I received were broken open and one arrived without any contents. My advice: if you are shipping something heavy, such as magazines, make sure you use strapping tape every which way around the box and pre-wrap the contents with a plastic bag or similar.

If you won't take my word for this, then obviously you don't trust the system.....
and by the way, there's no paperwork since it's an electronic signature and
the carton is already in the trash dumpster......believe it or not......call Jerry
Rauenzahn who stood on line yesterday at the local post office for 30 mins.
Just trying to pass along some helpful information but your loss is still my gain.

Its True

I worked in Operations Management for FEDEX for 20 yrs, There was a time when I thanked the USPS for sending us as much business as they did. I have had the local postmaster meet me surreptitiously to send his Christmas presents:D
What I found through the years was that people used us not so much because of the overnight service but rather because we could track items shipped,
"Just Don't Lose It" was a common mantra.
All that being said, times have indeed changed. Anymore I ship everything using the USPS. They have become very dependable and technology has allowed them to run with the big dogs.
Bob Jewett makes the best point whoever you decide to use.
PACK IT SECURELY!
If you don't want it damaged or stolen well then insure it and do your best to make sure someone would really have to work at it to get into the package.

Dang Matt....I just wanted to see the cue. There's no need to be that way about it. Enjoy your cue though.

By the way I use USPS for shipping too.

I have used USPS Priority 2-3 day almost exclusively for years with no claims, lost or stolen packages. Tracking is generally spot on. I insure any valuable or breakable items signature required. Expensive cues get shipped in cases. Otherwise, double bubble wrap butt, all shaft's separately. NO matter what they always get sent with JP's.

Have a good weekend,

-Kat,

I have found great success with your former company FedEx & USPS.

It's UPS you have to avoid. I don't care how well you pack it or if you buy insurance. When it goes awry they NEVER settle a claim.

call Jerry
Rauenzahn who stood on line yesterday at the local post office for 30 mins.

I'm on his waiting list.
Wrapless 60 incher is coming, due this summer, if I remember correctly.

Are you happy. I've heard nothing but good things so I decided to go for it sometime last year.

When I order things from the US into Canada, I always specify USPS. I've never had a problem and they never ding you for huge customs brokerage charges like some couriers.

9Ballr.......

The best answer I can give you is I ordered a 2nd custom from Jerry shortly after getting my first custom.
The signature date on my 1st cue is 2-23-15 & this cue has 5-4-16.....kinda tells how I feel about Mr. R.'s cue-making.

Looks like you went on his Balabushka waiting list.
I'm on it too.
The ten replicas he was going to make.

Was the 2nd person to sign up for the 1st Bushka Project with Jerry.......Mike Dunn was actually the first to sign.......got my cue in March 2015 and ordered another cue in May 2015
as the first order as part of Bushka II Project. I've done several cue projects with Dean and every single one was fun but the first Bushka Project was the most enjoyable. I know it
undoubtedly didn't sit so well with some folks due to the number of posts but it really was a fun, interesting project.

As you can tell, none of my cues were considered straight forward Bushka designs so one should and does expect to pay a little more than the standard project cue price.......it's worth
it to have a cue design exactly made the way you want.........Look forward to seeing more cues from you other Bushka II participants. Thanks for the positive review of this cue.....I like it.
