I remember having a player for life thread years ago.
Every genius on this forum called bs.
Now I have a problem.
How do I play with such an expensive Cue?

Nick :)

Nice little group of playing cues
They look like good players
Can we see them again?

Ya got one for every day of the week and 2 on Sunday's! PLUS a Break Jump!

I think you planed it that way Nick

Those all look pretty standard. What do you estimate the value at?

Probably 5 to 6 times more than anyone else would place the value at.
But if I know Nick, I'd say these are all "special builds". And so while you and I might only see a cue worth $2k, Nicky "knows better" and somehow it's worth $9.5k.

Nick......you asked "How do I play with such an expensive Cue?"

The answer is obvious.......................................a lot more enjoyably.

The real question should be "How do you not play......"

You already know neither Tim nor Mike intended these to be works of art in wood-making.
Admittedly these are really handsome, unique cues from endearing cue-makers whom are
no longer with us. Consequently, the cues need to be cared for & protected but nonetheless
still used for the purpose Tim & Mike intended for them......great hitting, splendid pool cues.

Not to play with these cues is a disservice to the legacy of both of these legendary names.
That may sound contrived but I am sincere......I love playing with my Scruggs and having
others ask to look at it and inquire about how the cue hits......it's a chance for me not to talk
about what a great cue I own but rather what a gifted cue-maker Tim was and just the nicest
person to speak with.......and personally, his cues do play a little better than the average bear.

I hope you decide to enjoy owning & also playing with these great pool cues. Gosh, you have so
many anecdotal stories you can share about both Tim and Mike when people ask about these
cues. You may find it also uplifting to share with others about your close ties with Tim & Mike.

So bring those cues out into the parlors and tournaments where they deserve to be admired.
And share with those whom ask about these cues a little bit of history about two of the greats.

JMO Nick,

Matt B.

I tend to agree with this. I see so many great cues here posted in this forum that languish in a closet or vault never hitting a ball. It makes me sad.

I play with the 8 point Mike Cochran

There are things money can't buy.
My player.

Hay buddy

Thanks for thinking of me Nick:grin: I like the two on the left so if you are ever going to put them up for "adoption"...let me know:wink:

You have enough of my players good buddy.
You have great taste.
Keep in touch.
I need to find out what the mystery tip is.
Keep you posted.
Your taste for players is rubbing off on me Tony.
