Wanted: Cheap straight cue

Hello, I'm looking for a cue for a friend who's just getting into the game. The budget is under 100. I've given away a handful of cues on this site, in bars, and to college students, so I'm hoping some of that Karma can come back around in the form of a good deal.


Mcdermott, Falcon, Joss, Cuetec R360, Lucasi, Pechauer, etc, these would all be good options. Even a straight unknown sneaky pete with an oil finish. Cosmetics are not an issue, i can even replace the tip and pull shaft dings. It can be bright pink or purple, I don't really care. Just want to find a solid cue for a new player.

Hey I have that Mali with no shaft ...
I have a shaft that has been turned down for several years now but has never been drilled.
The shaft has a slight roll but You have to really look to see it .
The butt has the 5/16 x 18 pin , I was going to change the pin to a 3/8x 10.
Any way going to put this old mali together, I have the shaft in the lathe.
Its going to take me a few days to do what I want to do to the cue.

I will also put on a new finish on I was going to change the joint collars too.
I want to put on elk antler but cap and joint collars and ferrule on .
And was thinking of a moori medium with a capless ferrule and carbon pad

Any way when its finished, I can contact you if you want..

My guess is 10 to 15 days. to re work the cue over the way I want .
I will have to find some elk horn for the butt of the cue.....
And I have a couple other projects I am working on too so I don't want promise exact date .
