Cool Home Billiard Rooms

Jeff, that is so YOU...who the hell else would have a sign on their wall....
...YOU ARE BEING WATCHED...
...and a fire truck on their light shade. :)

But puhleeeeze, will ya get a decent set of pool balls?
...those balls belong in a dive bar somewhere in the Okefenokee Swamp...
...where a guy called Bubba says you didn't call the rail on the way into
..the pocket...that's the way we play around heah.

I found the sign filling a hole in my back fence after I moved here. It was hidden by the deck. It came from a town on the east coast.
It was like god delivered it to me personally.

The light idea came to me, like a light--der, when I was checking out of the Northern Store one day and there it was brand new in a
box for $200. I had to have it. I just removed the pedals, bought a cheap fixture at the Goodwill for $5 and presto!

Maybe these balls are those kind that miss once in a while, cuz I've been missing lately, something I've never had to deal with.:smile2:
I'd better get a better set, eh? But then my excuse is gone.

The light is the nuts, as it holds my vacuum, by brush, box o chalk, and other assorted pool items. I have a black string with a little
key-chain 8-ball on it, that you can see in the front of the truck, that when I make an 8-ball break, I pull it to ring the bell and laugh.
(No, I never plan on growing up)

There's another thread where I told the whole story but here's my pool room. The room was remodeled and I tore out two walls and put in counters low enough for pool cues to pass over just to fit the table in. The table was a rather involved restoration that Mark Gregory made possible.

The canvas prints were fun to pick out. I did that rather than art with glass so that the canvas would suck up some of the echo in the room. I still have a few more stretchers to build and prints to hang to take the rest of the echo out of the room though.

That's is a beautiful Anniversary. But to be properly photographed in it's natural habitat it should be racked for straight pool. :grin-square:

Straight pool sounds a whole lot more appealing than one pocket. Those 4" pockets Mark put on there are really unforgiving.

Truth be told, that's too tight for straight pool. Most One Hole players like tight pockets though.

Hahah
That set is growing on me as I been hanging out at slick Willie's more often

Is there a golf course out back as well? If so you may have discovered heaven on earth

That would suit me just fine also....I was scratch before I played any billiard game.

...'course, 'scratch' is just another caddy on the PGA tour. :o

Yes you're correct, but in the world of country club lawyers & doctors it can be quite lucrative.
