9 (yellow ) + 6 (green) = 15. 1 point
14 (green ) + 1 yellow = 15. 1 point

I think Bob means color pairings... 1-9, 2-10, 3-11, 4-12, 5-13, 6-14, 7-15. The single 8 for the last point. It's easier to pick colors.

I think the game COLORS (link above) plays better than cribbage. The game of cribbage continually spots the first ball, if the second ball is missed.
In the game Colors the first ball of color always stays down. The second ball of each set of ball color combinations then pairs up with the black ball.
