So I know some places will have these at their weekly tournaments. I think I have a good idea of how they work, but let me know if I'm missing anything.
1. Players buy tickets. That money goes towards the prize pool.
2. Ticket is drawn during the tournament.
3. Winning player gets to attempt to break and run a rack of 10 ball (no ball in hand).
4. Must make a ball on the break???
5. Scratch or ball off the table on the break counts as a miss.
6. If a ball is made on the break, player can attempt to run out the rack without ball in hand.
7. Each ball pocketed (including any on the break) is worth 10% of the prize pool.
8. Player can quit at any time before a shot to collect any winnings.
9. If a shot is attempted and missed, the player forfeits all winnings made up to that point.
10. Most places make it a rule that if it's your first time playing in that tournament, you only get X per ball instead of 10%.
Did I miss anything? Are these legal?
