blue diamond chalk

Thank you RJ,

I think you should allow someone else to benefit from your kind offer......
I acquired several boxes from Shooter08 whom also is my Kamui supplier for tips.
As I wrote, I paid off a few bets with MC instead of cash and the extra boxes still
sit on my closet shelf. Since I chalk pretty much on every shot, I'll just stick with BD.

Matt B.

Lots of folks chalk after every shot and still use MC. It's not a "requirment".... Karen Corr chalks after every shot too... and I don't take her MC away because of it ;)

I only chalk once before the game begins, it free's me from having to look for it, carry it, whatever,,,I shoot, look for next shot, use my PSR and do it again....

Tried many and decided to get a few cubes of RMC from Chicago RJ a few weeks ago. I love the stuff. Covers well, excellent dry, but not powdery consistency, stays on tip and grabs.

What I am noticing after about 100 racks is not going for my chalk every shot and feeling confident. ZERO mis-cues so far. Consistency much like BD to me but sticks, grabs better for about same price. Cheap.....:groucho:

Have a good Holiday,

-Kat,

Thanks Kat. 10K customers can't be wrong ;) I was a customer well before I sold it ;)

PS: To all who got in on the deal, all orders will ship fist thing Tuesday. Still think I'm short a few FREEBIES !!!

RJ......I think for the average overall price, players will spend the $ for most premium chalks such as MC or Blue Diamond. When the price just becomes gouging
and pretty absurd at least to my way of thinking, then players become selective. Like I've explained, there's not a single reason to spend a penny on BD or MC
or K or any other chalk if a player just incorporates chalking after each shot into their routine......pretty much even the pool hall chalks will work fine and the chalk
is free or spend a couple of bucks for a chalk you like but the real bottom-line is MC doesn't perform any better than any pool hall chalk when you chalk after every shot.

This is not just my opinion on this subject. It is what Dave Alciatore confirmed with testing and empirical evidence. Here's what he ascertained about premium chalks.

"However, the bottom-line conclusion from all of my testing still applies. If you chalk before every shot, it doesn't seem to matter which chalk you use. They are all equally effective
when the chalk is applied properly before a shot
. I have not been able to measure a difference in performance among any of the chalks when the tip is chalked before a shot."

Personally, the main reason I use Blue Diamond is for its cleanliness and the fact that it remains on my cue tip a little longer if I forgot to chalk is just a plus. But it's the cleanliness aspect I play with Blue Diamond. If I could buy MC chalk for the same price as Blue Diamond, I'd probably do it as long as it's just as clean which my pals tell me it is. But frankly, were it not for that aspect, I'd just play with the Master chalk that's free at my pool hall since my routine is to chalk the way Dr. Dave described doing it. And you will not find a core hole in any of my pool chalks either......maybe that's why my cue shafts and hands remain clean.....just something for others that squeak and twist the chalk onto the tips of their cues might want to think about.......OMG!.....I actually shiver every time I see a player doing that.....don't they realize all that excess chalk comes off with every striking of the cue ball and deposits on the cloth where it remains, often in flake form.....Ugh! So it always come down to what floats your boat.....I'm reminded of that all the time whenever a discussion pops up about cue ferrules & cue joints.....buy what you like and can afford and the likelihood is you'll be happier than if you didn't

Well, I'm glad you are appreciating premium chalk. And BD is very good chalk.... I just happen to believe MC is better, as does science :grin-square:

Of course, that's easy for me and the thousands of fans of MC to say. And you like Seyberts as well, who is also a MC dealer for me, and just a great outfit to do business with :bow-down:

Thus, if you decide you like MC, you can buy right from Seybers as well, for similar price as BD.:thumbup2:

But how would you know? Send me your address, and I will mail you a FREE cube of MC today. :grin-devilish:

I"m asking for nothing in return, you don't need to review it, or anything else. If you like it better, great for Seyberts (and me), and if you don't, then sorry we could not have you as a customer, and please pass the chalk to someone else who might like to try it.

In fact, the next 9 folks that post what their current non MC "premium" chalk of choice is, will get one FREE cube of Magic Chalk :happy-birthday:

I'd like to try a piece of MC. I use Blue Diamond and like it a lot. I occassionally use Kamui 0.98 as a sort of base coat and then Blue Diamond over that. I've never tried the Magic Chalk. Did I post in time?

Let me know thanks!

I would love to try the Magic Chalk. Am I in time? I currently use Great White chalk from Outsville.
I have not seen the MC here in the UK yet.

No, we don't sell or ship to the UK. Sorry. But from what I've heard, Great White is a good product. Most premium chalks get the job done, and keep your equipment clean. So, no worries, stay with GW. I'd prefer to "steal" customers away from the "big guys", I don't feel guilty then ;)

Yes, yes you did. Personally, that seems like a lot of work having to use 2 different chalks, not to mention the expense associated with K chalk. Try this, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Most are. Only 2 folks out of 10K have ever said they were not switching to MC and kept their old chalk instead. I think the 9,998 might be on to something. ;)

I have recently been using BD, OB. I think I have tried your chalk but would like to again if you still have your offer available.

Thanks,
Dave

I have tried almost every brand of chalk except Kamui because just on principle I will not spend $30 on a cube of chalk.

This is exactly what I used to think, then a friend gave me a cube
of the Kamui 1.21 and I was sold.

Besides that 30 dollar cube seems to lasts longer than 30 cubes
of regular chalk.

On top of that you are definitely getting much more action on the cue ball,
have bigger area for misscueing, and you don't have to
scuff nearly as often.

Two cubes of Blue Diamond is $6.10 that Kamui lasts soooo much longer
than 30 cubes of Blue Diamond.
That makes 30 cubes of Blue Diamond cost a whopping $91.50.
You're saving big money by getting the Kamui 1.21....assuming a cube of
Kamui lasts as long as 30 of BD.....which it either does or comes very close to.

In either case the savings is tremendous.

Of all the premium chalks I think Kamui is by far the best buy, simply based
on how long a cube of it lasts......yes, all anecdotal...every bit of it.

K chalk lasting more than 30 cubes of Blue Diamond. Not any chance in this world is that true. 30 cubes of BD might last 15 years or more. Probably longer.

I can recommend competitors all day, and have. But I would never tell someone to spend that kind of money when K can't even beat MC in a head to head test. Heck, K chalk barely beat BD, so I can't figure out why in the heck it costs 10 times more than BD ??

I'm glad you like K chalk, but it's not cheaper nor better than many other options out there for a fraction of the cost. But if it works for you, that is great. But your math is very inaccurate. I've been using the same cube in the basement for over a year, and I fully admit that MC will NOT outlast any other chalk out there, but if MC lasts a year, so will BD, Great white, etc. Thus, 30 cubes of BD might go for a half century ;)

Sweet I'm happy I made the thread then and got a few memebers at chance to try a premium chalk for free, which they may have not gotten otherwarse

Sorry, didn't mean 30.
I meant 45.

ONE cube of Kamui lasts at least as long as 45 cubes of Blue Diamond.

Easy.

LOL. Right, folks go through 45 cubes of BD every year, that's 4 cubes a month ???? Give me a break. If someone shot 24 hours a day they could not burn through 4 cubes.

K lasts about a year, the same as every other prem chalk out there. NO more, no less. Some folks need to justify that $30, you don't have to it, it's your money, buy what you like. A good friend of mine uses it too, but he would never say it lasts long, he buys a new cube every year, like clock work. He's NOT allowed to use it on my table though, the messiest chalk in the business, by far. And still rated lower than MC.
