BCA Rules

In 2000, the BCA accepted the WPA's rules as their official rules. In 2004, the BCA sold their league system and it has since become the BCAPL with it's own set of rules.

Keeping the initials 'BCA' in the new league was an agreement between the owner of the new league ( Mark Griffin) and the BCA. You can speculate why.

The use of the letters 'BCA' in the new league has been an item of confusion for many players over the last 12 years that the league has been under a different ownership and still continues to be a matter of confusion, because the (original) BCA still puts out a rule book and there are many older rule books around as well.

The good news is that in most ways the BCAPL and the USAPL use the same rules as the WPA and the BCA (although with the BCA not holding or promoting any tournaments them having a rule set is a bit like Switzerland having a nuke). In fact my local USAPL has stricter rules than WPA, we have called 9 ball in the league.
