So Jayson Shaw, Neils and Mark Gray made the team.
Who will the two wildcards be?
I think Albin Ouschan will be one and probably Appleton, with Alcaide just missing out again.

IMO first wildcard for Albin for sure.
The second wildcard, I'm not so sure.
My heart says Daz, but my head says he hasn't done enough to earn one on merit.

....I guess Matchroom will have whoever they want and find a way to justify it.

If my memory is correct, last year Daz got a wild card based on winning the C8B eight months earlier --different game on different table with different cloth)
So why not Mika for winning the 14.1?

If Matchroom want experience, then the choice would be Souquet---he's showing form again.

Or give Alcaide the spot.

You could make a case for quite a few players.

.....my radical choice would be Joshua Filler
He's a star of the future. I would give him a chance on home soil as most of the fans will by European. would be easier than a debut in the USA

Joshua Filler is a good choice as a young gun representing the future. Except the best Euro young gun now is Sanchez Ruiz

I'd like to see someone new like Sanchez Ruiz or Mario He or Chinahov (is Russia even a possibility?)

Jayson, Niels, Mark Gray, Albin & Darren.

That is a powerful lineup!

I'll be rooting hard for Team USA but this is gonna be a big task.

best,

Gray might be the weak link for Euros, but with Shane having a difficult time in the Mosconi as opposed to other events and Dechaine having mental collapses in several of his appearances, this is going to be tough. I can see USA keeping pace with the Euros for doubles play, but singles play looks like a nightmare. Hopefully USA can channel some inner 2009 magic!

Youse guys are gonna miss Boyes....
....he was perfect for this show.

Alcaide lost two hill hill matches to Darren in the last month. If he had won both then he might have been on the team, imo.

Too bad the Mosconi Cup isn't in the US this year - a couple members of Team Europe wouldn't have to travel as far. ;)
