I paid for a cue and the guy didn't send it. I posted it on Facebook with his name and PayPal with hopes that when people searched his name it would refer them to that post i made. It didn't though. Does anyone know what or where to post so someone else doesnt get robbed by him again?

If you have his Paypal then you need file a dispute ASAP! So along as the Money was not sent as a Gift they will look into it and most likely get your money back. I'd do it right after reading my post.

no it was as a gift. i did research on him and nothing was wrong but lesson learned, the fee was such a small amount of money but live and learn.

I guess you probably won't do as gift again....

When purchasing something you should always do Buying Goods and Services in Paypal. They are a business offering a service and you would have gotten something for the fee they charge. The seller should either raise the price for the fees or accept the fees as the cost of doing business.

Is there a reason you do not tell us who it is so it may not happen to anyone else ???

The exact reason I won't send money to anyone thru paypal as a gift !! I don't care who they are or how good their reputation is !! I wish you the best and hope you can get something out of it but it doesn't look good for you .

Oh i can i was just wondering if you guys had an idea like how someone would pop up in a google search. i was thinking reddit or whatever it is but i don't even know how that thing works. His name is reggie cosens in maryland. name of the town starts with an H i would would have to look up his face book. would it help if i put up his PayPal as well? i did on Facebook and the moderator didn't mind. i agree i will never do a gift again, I'm just glad it wasn't a ton of cash. also he used to be a member on here about 2 or 3 years ago but i think he left this site back then.

as i said i learned my lesson, but I'm ok with it. i just don't want anyone else to get caught up with him.

Give us the H town

Rat him out on your FB and right here on AZ.

Thieves haven't many friends except for other thieves or liars.

i did on Facebook its a way of selling things or buying on there. its not affiliated with az so i wouldnt say what it is. if your on Facebook and search that name he will come up.

If he is on AZ then leave Itrader negative feedback if you can't get him to come through .

hes not on here anymore. as far as i can tell. i just want to know he cant play his games anymore

I am very sorry to hear about your loss.

If the fee was for such a small amount of money, then I would have just paid the agreed amount (as paying for Goods), and then sent him the extra amount (around 3% of the sale) as a gift.

If you still have his PM's or emails to you (or messages through facebook), then I imagine that you might still be able to get him in trouble, or at least try to scare him with a threat with a call to the police, and the FBI (for a fraud report). Do anything you can to try to scare the guy into refunding you, and if that does not work, then give the guys local police department a call, and ask them if anything can be done. Give the FBI a call, or the Postal Inspector, and ask if anything can be done. Maybe even try to take him to small claims court, if you have all of the messages that he sent you saved, for proof, and you also have your paypal payment to show proof that you paid him. I imagine something can be done. Don't just let it go. Even if it is only $50 or $100, I would be very upset.

The seller might already have a lot of bad itrader feedbacks on this forum.

That might be why he sold the cue on facebook (no itrader feedback on facebook).

The only deal i did on fb went wrong, almost 40 deals on AzB went smoothly.

I would never deal on fb again if I dont know the other party properly to start with, and I would ask for their AzB handle.

fb groups are for information, ppl can say they are straight as the sticks they have, still when it comes to settling the dispute, they may find it "inconvenient" to do what they promised.

protect yourself, either AzB or fb, knowing who you are dealing with is just one thing, NEVER PAYPAL GIFT, I would sell and I would ask my buyers not to GIFT, every time.

I read small claims court but if i was to go that route wouldn't i have to go to court there? I would spend more money just trying to get the money back. I do have all the emails and him saying oh I'm sending it and all the conversations pertaining to it. Maybe i could contact the police there about it.

••• caveat emptor •••

An effective way to deal with a thief is to send friend requests to all of his friends on Facebook, especially his family. After you become friends with them (unbeknownst to him) you contact a couple of his friends and family and ask them if they know if he has been having any troubles lately, like financial troubles. When they answer "No, why?" You can then explain your problem. Make sure to join his FB Groups too.

BTW, which Facebook Group did you see his advertisement?

BTW, if you see that a seller has limited friends, no friends or virtually no posts from other people, or has only "followers", you might consider that something is fishy about the person.

My only other recommendation to people purchasing items off of Facebook, AZB and other social media is to obtain phone numbers, addresses, and references (more than one or two) AND CONTACT THEM.

Friends, family and acquaintances can have more influence on a person than a lawsuit.

It is as I suspected. Reggie Cosens from Hagerstown has only followers, not one single friend.

Now my question is, how do you know he plays APA? Did he tell you this or you learned about it anotherway?

Nevermind, he has several friends who correspond with him. CHECK HIS TIMELINE.
