He didn't say that 50 players can win a world title, he said that 50 players can win a $10k tourney in the Philippines where it would cost him $3k just to play in it.

Hell yeah there is 50 players that can win a world title. Pool is to lucky of a game at a race to 9 or 11. Just take US Open for example, there is 10-20 maybe more European players that could win, 10 Taiwanese players, 10-20 Filipino players, and I would say 5 Americans or so maybe. I'm sure I'm forgetting some also. It seems like there is a new winner almost every week so many good players now. If pool was played like races to 15 or 21 best of 3 sets, with really tight pockets then you would see some dominance.

Here is the latest world list --after Japan Open, Eurotour Treviso Open, and Make--it-Happen event in US.
I agree with Justin.

I wonder if Darren applied for american citizenship? He married an american(asian heritage) girl also. I've heard numerous times Shaw mentioning that hes working on his american citizenship.
Maybe next year for the MC cup, we'll have both on team USA. haha.
He (Shaw) has a long way to go to be even in the same breath of accomplishments as SVB, and as far as I can see SVB isn't slowing down any either.
Thanks , Mike
