There has been a lot of analysis going on over the past few days.
“We’re getting Sharked!”

I’d like to congratulate team Europe on a magnificent display of professional Billiards. So with that, I’d like to thank the following:
EPBF / EURO TOUR
As a governing body to European Billiards, The EPBF have done a fine job ensuring that the professional game has a professional platform for its players to compete annually. This is call the Euro Tour and is without doubt one of the toughest professional billiard circuits one should choose to compete on.
This solid foundation provides professional players to earn a living wage and compete on the world stage at all WPA sanctioned events through an official qualification structure.
EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS (Male, Female, Juniors, Seniors, Wheelchair)
The EPBF also ensure that future generations have the chance to compete in the Euro Championships. With an aim to promote and grow American Pool throughout the continent. Competitors no matter their gender, race, religious, sexual or ability have the chance to compete at the highest level to showcase their skill sets.
This has allowed domestic associations and governing bodies affiliated to the EPBF to thrive. For example; The best of The East pool tour run by the East European Billiard Council.
The GB9 Tour in the UK, (where at best there are only 300 American Pool players) have proven without doubt that where there is a will there is a way. Having run a professional tour now for multi-years, the GB9 ship 9ft tables across the land, installing them into fantastic hotel facilities to then run its tournaments. This has been achieved at a time of great global financial difficulty, and the end results are there to be seen.
Russia steps up to the plate with its Kremlin Open and even battered economies like Greece offer stimulating, well run professional Pool events in its lands each year.
Well done Europe!
TEAM EUROPE:
What a performance by all! From Captain Chamat through too Rookie Shaw, Europe played as one. Going down as one and coming up as one. It’s a ship that can go far; and she will. Their professionalism was there for all to be seen, comfortable in their professional attire because this is how they turn up to play all their professional pool events; no matter what. Their conduct towards their fellow professionals was one of mutual respect.
When you have your man down, keep him down and team Europe certainly did this. Gold winners medals well earned and deserved!
EUROPE:
Again its people showed solidarity in the face of sporting achievement. As a collective, the European crowd didn’t give an inch and ensured that every American felt the intense pressure cauldron of the Mosconi Cup. It’s our land and be damned if we allow anyone the time or space to get comfortable in their efforts to take our cup away. Bravo Europe, bravo…
