I am looking for shared hotel room for whole derby city classic.

I am from Finland and come play to Darren´s 8-ball tournament at New York. After that I gonna visit first time Derby City Classics and hope save some money by sharing hotel room.
If you are interested leave here comments or PM me via AZ. :)

Were you the one I saw last year in the hallway limping around drunk, tied up, and with a ball gag on?

Any local youth hostel

Any local youth hostel
Umm.... The nearest youth hostel seems to be about 19.7 miles away. Unless you have a car, The Horseshoe Casino Hotel is pretty much the only place to stay.

Does anyone know prices?
I was little confused about pricing.. maybe because i never been at U.s and I am not native english speaker.

I dont see it here but in the past i believe it was if you stayed 9 nights-$99/night plus tax and i guess an $11/night resort fee so i wouldnt figure less than $120 night in total.

You need to book 9 nights or you don't get the special rate of $99/night.

In addition the hotel has a "resort fee" which is hotel-talk for an extra fee that they surprise you with when you arrive. It looks like the Diamond rate avoids the resort fee, but you may need to pay it in order to have internet in your room -- the wording is not perfectly clear.

Four per room is with two large beds -- they do not provide extra roll-away beds.

Details:

There are tons of places to stay just across the river in louisville. There is a bus that makes runs between Louisville and the casino, downside you will have to adhere to bus schedule u less u get a ride or cab.

Thanks Bob. That clarifies a lot. :)

Bump.
Seems there is not Finnish guys coming this year other than me so still looking for roomate for saving money.

Have to stay at the shoe

FYI, You'll definitely have to stay at the Horse Shoe. I'd also recommend stopping before you arrive and picking up some food and snacks as the food at the hotel/casino is overpriced and okay at best. Also half the restaurants in the place aren't ever open during the week - at least as of my last trip to the Derby. - Safe Travels
