$150 if you can get my FB account fixed...

They're cracking down on people running businesses on personal accounts. they want you to start a like-page so they can get a piece of the action, but I'm not certain that's what's going on here.

Your account is definitely under review - no one has hacked it - it's just inactive.

If they reinstate it you won't lose anything.

If you have business partially complete - take Jennie's advise and steer those people to another social media network or a webpage.

Unfortunately if your only account was under your business name, your id likely wont work since it doesnt match the name. I assume it was a personal account and not a business or public figure account.

To create the page according to facebook you would need to open an account under your name, and then create a page under that account for the business or as a public figure. MOre on that here (its free) - https://www.facebook.com/business/learn/set-up-facebook-page

Apparently when they don't respond it is when the name you sent doesn't match. You may never hear from them. :sorry:

I just reached out to a friend who contracts there and he has no idea who to go to. I am in SF and I am not sure I know anyone that works for them anymore but if I can get you a contact I'll try.

Those supposed experts who say they can help you are scammers - do not give these people any personal information and don't pay them a dime. they CANNOT help you on Facebook, Twitter, Google or any other network.

When you went to the verify-page on FB - you were at the right, secure, real FB page - and the only way you're going to be able to get this done is to be patient.

IF you were running your business on a personal page - it's unlikely they'll reinstate your account because you broke the Terms of Service contract that you agreed-to when you first signed up for FB.

If you have a separate "like-page" you should be OK {{{IF}}} they have your right phone number, right identity, right email, etc...

The worst thing about FB is - they won't tell you what's going on.

I know how frustrating this is -- I've been through it... and when Google does it it's even worse - because Google uses the same account for 6 or 7 different networks.

I had a separate business page for Billiard Bill's.

Was Bill's Billiards, or billiard-bill's, on a "like-page" or a personal FB page?

You can create a personal page with the first name Bill and the last name Billiards - or vise-versa - - and, if this is what you did, and you conduct business on it... I'm afraid you broke their TOS-contract.

If you also have a personal account that's your real first and last name - now they have you on another violation for multi-accounting.

I know this all sucks. I really know what you're going through.

The reason they want you to start a like-page for a business is because you are very limited on how much you can market it. you can invite the people on your friends-list but you can't outside market it (all pool players) without paying FB. -- This is how FB makes their $billions.

It'll start making sense to you. - You just have to go by their rules.

A lot of people ask why you're limited to 5,000 friends on a personal account and the reason is: If you could have a million friends you could sell anything you wanted to sell and you wouldn't have to start a like-page and pay FB to market it. (Ultimately you'd be your own little FB and I could pay you to advertise my business to your 1-million friends).

There's ways around FB's little monopoly but they're closing the loopholes everyday. - If you contact me outside of AZB, I can show you how to market your business on that network without being stopped by FB.

PM me and I'll give you my email address.

I get it. I had a business and a personal page, not two personal pages that one was for business but a business page like a location where people left reviews and checked in.

I see that your FB business page is running fine on my end. Did you provide all the infos they needed you to?

Yes that is the first page for my business that I began with then abandoned as I had moved and did not realize I could move the page... The real page has over 2K followers and is the link below which will not pull up just like my profile will not....

I am not on book of faces but I had a very frustrating experience with a different site and based on that your old account is active and your second account is gone I think what happened to me applies.

When you created your first account did you have a different email address? If so they consolidated or are trying to consolidate your second account into the first. Big PITA.

So, basically for me my first account was linked as a primary account (to an email for a business that was deactivated). The new business was created and new account was created under a new email address but it was still tied to my name under my old original account. A year late something happened on their end. They made the original account active and the de-activated my real account that I was using. I had to explain to them that scenario. I used screen shots of the two separate accounts and used that to explain the problem.

BilliardBills,

It's not a phishing scam, it's real. I had this happen to my old account due to the fact that I would not give them my real name or any of my information that was sensitive. It is still in purgatory.

It's a shame that they did this to you. I believe that Facebook thinks this is a bogus page within Facebook since they have been cracking down on the "Fake" news crap recently.

Good luck to ya buddy. Hope it turns out well. If I hear anything, I will let you know

:(:(:frown:

I had one personal account with one business page linked to my that account for the business I own.

I somehow managed to have an unrelated second business page (not a personal account) that's still visible but because I'm gone, my real business page is gone. The other business page still shows it exists but unless I'm using someone else's FB account I can't even get passed the login page of FB.

Thanks bud. This entire thing is just freaking crazy.

Think about this, I pay Shopify as well as Stripe to have a merchant account on my business page that right now does not exist. Wtf.

try emailing

disabled@facebook.com

I did a little research and some people who had their accoount disabled used this address to fix it. I am not expert and found this address on the web and cannot vouch for its authenticity.
