I'm going to make a custom score keeping frame and mount a string of beads. I'd like to get a few ideas. Show your creative work if you did something unique other than suspend the beads over the table. This project is for a friend. Thanks. Frank

Mr. 1 Pocket...aka...Tom Wirth and I designed and worked on this together . It is hanging in his billiard room. It's simple and clean looking. Came out nice.

No pic at this time so please bare with my poor explanation lol, I bought string beads, 2) 4ft pcs of small diameter steel rod from hardware store, 1) 8ft 1x4 oak board, 1) 2ft 1x4 oak board. I grooved middle of 8ft board to slide a middle divider with a hole drilled 1/4 way through each side to hold steel rod, mounted beads, added the end caps with hole drilled 1/2 through to hold outer edge of rod. Pre drilled screw holes and mounted score beads to ceiling and rack end of table, plugged mounting screws with wood plugs and stained. You could mount this on the wall if high ceilings is a problem or trim down if 8ft is too long. I have 50 beads on each side and 4 ft sides gives me about 12" of a gap when you start sliding them. I hope you can visilize this, it's so much better than string!!!!

Are the beads purple & black?
 



This was my 1st attemp out of pine to see if it worked! After I decided I liked it I remade this light and bead scorer out of oak and routed the edges etc. sorry for the real old pic but you can get an idea of my early concept

How about a DIY. Not hard to do. The beads are from Seyberts. The steel rods are 48" x 3/16" from Home Depot. Be creative...try it.
