Using wax when using a pool ball cleaner

Whodathunkit?!

I bought a bottle of the aramith polisher about 7yr ago and i still have 1/5 of that bottle left.

Why the desire to dilute?

I suggested diluting it not to save money but to avoid overuse of product to help against buildup in the ball polisher.

If you mix it with water in a fine spray bottle I'd assume you could get a more uniform coverage while using less product and "gumming up" the cleaner pads.

Just seems easier to me than applying a drop on each ball or however it's done.

Ahh- put em in the polisher- spinning- andd then put 2 or 3 drops on them.
There is your even spread, the easy way
(Cheap-o!)

Haha.. I'm going with the spray bottle because I'm lazy and it seems easier.

Maybe I'll start diluting condiments too so I can just spray my fries with ketchup.

My way is easier. Why you wanna introduce an additional step...and hardware?

its great, wax the balls. you dont even need a stroke anymore with the gaffed cue ball. draw it around the table.
all the c players become b players overnight.

until you go play somewhere where the balls are left natural.

next time you play baseball put some lead in the hitting area of the bat.
and some grease on the face of your golf club so you dont slice the ball.
let a little air out of that basketball while we are at it.

I keep a micro fiber cloth with the Aramith Cleaner. I put a small amount of the cleaner on the rag and rub each pool ball before they go into the polisher. (This step is actually a good way to get rid of some of the more significant scuffs and Diamond black pocket marks.) A couple minutes spinning in the paddy wagon and viola!

Lol. You're right, over waxing does make it easier to draw/spin/follow whitey.
But, isn't that what has be going on in pool since the 80's?
Simonis cloth made the game much easier than wool cloth. C's went to B's overnight.
You dont need a stroke to take the CB 5-6 rails. Next, much more lively balls.
B's went to B+...still no stroke. Texas-express, nothing spots, don't have to make spot shots anymore, no clusters to break out...just duck. C's now at B++. And on it goes. Only change to make the game harder has been tighten the pockets.
Now, that has backfired. 4 inch pkts...no , to big. 3 7/8 ,,,to big////and so it goes.
I have a set of Aramith balls from the 60' and 70'. I also have a friend who has a GC!
with 21oz wool cloth. On that table, B++ goes to C overnight.
The people making the rules and changing the equipment are not PoolPlayers, they are equipment suppliers, businessmen that make money when pool changes.
It's too bad. Pool used to be a better game, now it's just faster ( speed ) and quicker ( get it over with ).
PushOut Forever!
Good luck

Another azb poster recommended putting a drop of cleaner in a plastic sandwich bag and then putting balls in it, rubbing them letting them dry for a moment and then loving them with a microfiber cloth, before putting them in the polisher... That is for once in awhile deep cleaning
. I have used it and other folks on here have thanked me for sharing the advice.
I didn't come up with it...

So you think 1foul is th wave of the future, right?hahahha.

My balls go though the polisher after about 5-10 hrs of play and i usually wipe cb down once an hour or so.

Any idea what ever happened to dick fletcher? I suppose he passed...was he a real good pooler? Bet amount disregarded, of course.

You will end up with dried up ball polish all over the top of your new Diamond ball polisher when spraying it on. I get some spots on top of mine that are hard to remove putting 1 small drop on every other ball. Its like dried up wax that you miss when waxing a car.

If you clean the balls on a system or cycle, days or hours of play

Then I suggest, the first couple of cleanings to use the Aramith Ball Cleaner or the Ball Star Cleaner.

Then after they have a baseline, the only thing I use is the product called

BRILLIANIZE

This is a plastic and acrylic cleaner, it comes in a spray bottle,

I turn on the machine and mist over the balls as they rotate and then let the cleaning and polishing cycles run.

No extra, squirt, no extra skidding, just the way the balls and cloth were meant to be played AS.

Hope this helps a bit

With Balls and Cloth-IN REGARDS TO CLEANERS OR POLISHING COMPOUNDS----""""-TOO MUCH IS NEVER a GOOD THING!!!!!!!"""

Use product sparingly but on a controlled schedule---I clean and polish every 10 Hours of Play Time---' and you will get a uniform result that can be duplicated each time you play!!

1 foul sucks....you know how I feel.
Dicky was a good player, mostly 1 hole and banks. He was a nut hunter, but who doesn't
Try for the nutz? Difference is , if you cant manage the nutz, match up and GAMBLE!
Like Ricky.And Rick still does.
5-10 hours of play seems very short. Balls will were down in size and weight.
Be buying new balls every year or two, but, whats money for , besides gamblin...lol

So, thanks for all the info. Now, to my new problem.
I have definitely over-waxed ! I'm calling out SVB to a draw-your-rock contest!!...lol.
So, how to I fix the balls, the table, the rails, and the diamond ball polisher???
Thanks

I thing just wipe the carpet with a moist rag...and play em out.

Always makes me smile to think of Rick. I am smiling as I recall our road trip to tx, stopping to see Sam an me falling asleep...and Ricky driving all the way to Lubbock..and him getting drunk for the first time,

He told me I pumped gas on the way down, but I can't confirm that. Glad He didn't ask me to drive.

Don't use wax often

I have the diamond ball cleaner and use just a touch of wax on all the object balls maybe every third or fourth cleaning but I don't wax the cue ball because it creates normal playing problems, you overdraw, the cue ball way to much.
