Too bad Tallahassee ain't a little closer to Orlando. I woulda beat'em all :p

I appreciate all of the guys who spend so much of their time so I can sit on my fat arse and watch good pool but can't all of the streams have multiple camera options like these guys? When Turning Stone ended I found the link to this Tally tournament and after a few clicks found the Skylar match. How cool is that? I could be wrong but it seems camera's aren't too cost prohibitive, is it the bandwidth that's an issue? To be honest I'm a fisherman and not even sure what the hell bandwidth is or has to do with it but it seems like if the XPC folks can do it for free every time the other guys should be able to also. Imagine if these guys were doing Turning Stone how many strong matches you could watch? Or better yet what if they streamed the US Open or DCC? I'd be even more worthless sitting in front of the IPad.

Its ridiculous they can't /won't stream multiple tables at Derby. Accustats needs to wake up and get into the new age of streaming.

The people doin the streaming aren't a lot more tech savvy than a fisherman.

They just plug it in and go for it, fixing stuff as necessary. Sure, cameras aren't car-expensive, but they are a sizeabke investment...tuff to make that investment for streaming pool, given what the return on investment would be.

Crazy time we live in, that we get to see it at all. Plus, we are so spoiled that we want network quality production at network tv prices.

No doubt I'm spoiled, I just don't understand how a regional streamer can be so much better than Accustats at putting a stream together. It has to be something to do with the business plan and I guess I'm just missing it.

The main part of their business plan is passion for good pool and sharing with the masses. The second part is their rig is a six-figure operation, at a minimum. :yikes:

Because as Accu-Stats has themselves said before, they aren't "a streaming company". That is in part why at the Derby they have moved on from showing most of the Banks tournament and instead replaced it with the Bigfoot 10 Ball. Their 10 Ball discs and rebroadcasts to Asia or wherever dictates what they broadcast and therefore stream. I like seeing the 10 Ball stream but would rather watch banks. I wish they would move the 10 Ball on top of the 9 Ball event and show it then instead. I can't stand watching 9 ball anymore. But they won't do that as they want those 9 ball matches for resale.

Then again they have historically had plenty of bandwidth issues anyways coming out of the Horseshoe to use as an excuse too. :boring2:

We need to get Amazon involved. Why not stream/record a bunch of matches and pay to have access to it.

Is the xtc setup really $100 grand? Or are you talking about the accustats setup?

Good idea but I think it is wishful thinking. Amazon is a business and would only be interested in pool streaming if the return on investment was high but the return is low. It would be cool though if Amazon made a series about pool with high quality production values similar to The Grand Tour in which there would be different destinations each week and the drama of high stakes matchups and tournaments would be captured.

What we could really benefit from is a group of dedicated individuals, with the financial backing of various billiard companies and someone who is passionate about the game, to travel all around the country and possibly outside the country and stream events as a full-time job.
