💡💡Tournament SHENANIGANS!! Smh

@therealkingcobra
I'm NOT the best player. But I am fine with my game PROVIDED THAT EVERY OTHER PERSON IS RANKED PROPERLY!! âś”

It's possible that you could be the nicest guy I ever met if we were to run into each other.

However I would really hate to play you .you mentioned in another thread where you replied that I could never beat you......thats very possible and I never claimed in that thread that I could.....you just made the typical response you did because you did not agree with what I posted.

The reason I would hate to play you is because this is the second thread you have started where you complain about losing and your opponents handicap.

You say you are an 8....well I have happened to win a few matches against 8's and in fact I have played 4 matches against one particular 8 and won every one . I have also won against 2 different 9's. Now I admit I have lost more than I have won against 8's and 9's but the fact remains I have won about half a dozen or so of them.

If I was to luck up and win against you i am afraid you would go apeshit and snap your cue in half or at the very less spear it through a wall and at the same time cry about me being a sandbagger.

I would hate to feel responsible about the damage to your cue and raising your blood pressure sky high with me being a lowly 5.

if you're an 8 and go to five, what does joe the 6 play to? three? apa handicap minus three? does a 3 automatically win?

i'm not getting it.

Maybe change your name to little kitten and you might get a lower ranking so you can win ...

Every single handicapped event I've ever seen has been geared toward the lower skill leveled player, because they make up usually 60%-80% of the field. It makes sense and good business, plain and simple.

So I played in my first tournament EVER on Friday night. But amazingly, several people that I knew personally were ranked incorrectly! For example, if the tournament uses APA rankings and I'm an 8. And I KNOW Joe is an 8, because we just played a leauge match against eachother and gamble cheaply EVEN. But I come in as an 8 but he is a 6 SMH!! I found about 5 of these errors. Anyway, the guy that won the tournament undefeated I played in my first match of the night. It went hill-hill. 4-4. He comboed the 1-9 in to win 5-4 SMH SMH

Sure... and then he split his winnings with the tournament director 60/40 and said "See ya next time buddy ol' pal oh pal o mine. Ahhh heh heh heh heh", as he chewed on his Vic Tayback Mel's Diner Navy cook cigar while his dingy wife waited in the car looking over her pink sunglasses in the dead of night sucking on a More 120 cigarette.

Yeah.... as so many have said in this thread "Welcome to our community"

All things handicapped are just a contest to see who can sandbag the best.
If your not sand bagging, your not really understanding the system.
Please dont cry because someone else sandbags better.

If the system bothers you, grow a pair and play in open/unhandicapped tournaments (where you win or lose on your own merits instead of some stupid handicapping system).

My only gripe is this. If the tournament rankings are based upon APA rankings (so the director told me the night prior) I WALK IN AND SEE SOMEONE THAT I KNOW FOR SURE RANKED IDENTICALLY TO ME IN APA, RATED TO SPOTS LOWER 8 to a 6, I'M ALREADY AT A DISADVANTAGE AND SO IS EVERYONE ELSE. IF I LOSE LET ME LOSE "ON THE SQUARE WHERE IT'S FAIR" NOT BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE LETTING SOME PEOPLE "STEAL" ✔✔✔ SMH

So what you're saying is that the APA rating system is flawless and nobody should have a different thought in their head? Okay.

I also find it very sad that many people have agreed with my post and have seen BS like this go on fairly routinely in tournaments!! SMH SMH SMH TERRIBLE!!

Welcome to the pool world, the only thing that changes as you proceed up the ladder is that it becomes the money that disappears and not the spot.

Man, you must be dizzy as hell with as much SMH'n you're doing. BTW, you want some cheese to go go with that whine? JFC, get over it.

ive seen players also complain and "smh" due to equipment and bad tables but what is strange is that while they lost there was a winner , there opponent also had to play on that same table but how could they win?

God your whiny!!! How about before apa and all this points BS? Did you know people used to have these things called NUTS and they played straight up??? Unfortunately you grew up in the every one gets a trophy era. I bet it's really hard for you to lose. Maybe see if your local room will install a safe space somewhere for you.

Should have brought your A game, you know....the one you keep trying to educate everyone with when it comes to gambling am doing matching up with other players....LOL

You mean this?

Well point #1 I start people off at their known handicap in my events then as time progresses I adjust them based on how they perform in my events. This may be the same situation with the event you played in. Your friend may be rated an APA 8 in 9 Ball and totally suck in an actual match based tournament verses playing by points. Just an observation. The other point is if this is the very first event that you played in you will probably drop in rating at some point. Other than that play your game and keep your opponent in his seat.

I know my question is not pool related and I mean no respect but,,,, are you gay?? Ya know, homosexual??

I'm not being mean or anything, I have a couple friends who are and I'm cool with it as long as they stay away from me in that regard. But you come across as one of those "snot nose fag boy *****es" who complain about EVERYTHING!

DUDE, relax!!! It's phuckin game!,ya win some, ya lose some!

I'm sorry if I come across like an ass,,, I kinda am but I'm upfront about it!!

Also, I bet you can't wait to become a,,,,,,,,"NINE". OOOOOOOOOOHWWWWWWOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH

@Liakos27
You come across as nothing but an ignorant, uneducated, internet troll who is a loser in real life. CLEARLY, your reading comprehension is NO HIGHER than 6th grade. Surely, the point of my post was nothing about MY GAME, but was a out the inherent unfairness of equal players being ranked differently when they are publicly ranked the same which allows some an advantage and others a disadvantage. But then again, I can't expect much from an "internet" person LOL

That wasn't very nice. Join Date: May 2016 not that that matters but who's the troll here. Do you have any idea who's on this site. The caliber of players and instructors. Maybe you should just sit back for a while and learn instead of trying to teach.
I'm not saying to go away, really. Just take it down a notch.
You're right about it just being the internet. Treat it as such.

The issue is people lying about their handicaps, then whine when they are called on it.

And most league players and pool players think they need to ranked lower than they are. So you either have a tournament with no handicaps, or you need to have someone that knows the players or knows how to rank them properly doing the handicaps. I found that most people would outright lie about their ability. Some dope came in as a 3 into a tournament that goes from 3-6, he ran out almost full racks every time at the table, then had the balls to say "well I'm a 3 in the league also" as if that will mean anything. LOL That just shows me he's a cheater in his league also (sandbagging is the same as cheating in my book). The other 3s in the tournament need to get lucky position to run more than 2-3 balls but this 3 happens to go through a rack with good position on his shots. Had another one that said he was as good as the 3s, I made sure he was in as a 5. He made it to the finals as a 5.

I don't get why one would rather be a slime than a player, but that is what many people in leagues and handicapped tournaments turn into.
