A few choices:
1) bank it 3 rails off the red hitting the rail opposite your cue stick first.
2) thin the red to the same rail opposite your cue using low left with a slight elevation of your cue to help shorten it up. The idea is to go cross table hoping to pick up the 3rd rail before the white (short rail) or off the side rail.
3) thin the red using level cue and a lot of right spin off the rail your cue is on. The idea is to spin the cue ball off that 1st rail hitting the opposite side rail; short rail; back to the side rail toward the scoring ball. You would have to hit it hard because you would not be using running english off the 2nd rail so it has to back up. Unlike the 2nd option, this has all the rails going toward the score. Would not be able to make this on all equipment depending on its condition.
There are other choices but these are my best of a tough situation.

Adding a 4th option:
Another bank option: hit the opposite long rail then your cue is near first to travel cross table under the red to hit the other long rail then possibly the short rail just before the white and carom off the white to the long rail again an into the red. It may also be possible to hit the white before the short rail but that is less likely.

David, this was posted on the main forum and it was mentioned that you could hit the
long rail on the left almost to the corner (not obvious in the pic)....
...so I think the ticky is on....long rail, left english, catch the other white less than half ball.
two more rails out of the corner for the red.
Nice shot if you can see it, it doesn't look like it from the picture, but if so you got something there.

Challenging, risky option, although it would look cool.
Vertical masse draw with right hand english cutting red slightly to keep if away from banking into corner ball. Cue ball comes backwards to corner with spin around 3 cushions to corner ball.
But I would leave that one up to Semih Sayginer!
