All of the information I can dig up says that all of the Helmstetter cues have ebony and points. It appears that this one has neither.

Thank you for the reply! I wonder when this one was made. Upon further research, Helmstetter did not sign his early cues, so this one must be a later model.I have no idea where you are getting that information but it is definitely incorrect.
Yes, that is a Helmetetter.
There would be little or no profit in faking a Helmstetter, especially a plain jane one....but it wouldn't surprise me if somebody did. Never hurts to check, and it never hurts to ask.
The signature is a decal under the finish and the cue was made in the Adam factory in Japan.
