Reglue Monarch cushions on a GC1?

I have a GC1 with the original Monarch cushions. I noticed that one cushion had come unglued over a short stretch, maybe an inch or so. While checking the cushions all the way around, I can tell that they are not everywhere flush with the top of the subrail: they sort of gradually rise and fall along their length, maybe by a 1/16" of an inch or so, max. Not sure if this was due to bad initial installation or if the cushions have shifted slightly after nearly 60 years of play. The cushions otherwise seem to be in good shape: no hard spots, good bounce. etc.

So here's my question: Is it possible to remove the cushions, clean them up, clean up subrail, and reglue them? Or is that an exercise in futility? If so, I can always reglue just the spot that has come undone.

As always, many thanks in advance.

Bad job, wast of time, taking them affordable may suprise you with how much of the sub rail wood comes off with them.
