Hey guys. A while back I posted a review of some break tips I had tried. Here is a link to that post:

I'm wondering if anyone has given a try to the Cyborg tip, which I think they call the "Cell" break tip?

I have been using and LOVING the Hammerhead tip and really have no reason to change, I'm just curious.

Wondering mostly about how hard it feels, hits, what cues you have them on, etc. What is the material? Is is some sort of resin like material like Taom or Zento? Some thermoset plastic type material like the Hammerhead? Phenolic?

Very curious. Opinions please?

Thanks,

I use one on my jump cue. They are a lot like Taom tips, similiar feel and the material cuts about the same. They are really easy to jump with and hold chalk about the same as Taom does. My favourite jump tip by far, jumps as easy as SPC and has grip like Taom.

I have only used my fiancees J/B cue to break with one so I cant give you a fair comparasion to other tips I have tested on Predator BK's. But based on my limited experience it feels a little harder than taom but seems to perform about the same otherwise. From the few breas with it I know that the next break tip I am going to try on my BK will be a Cell.
Please write up a little if you are going to have one installed, I dont want to cut the Taom off for curiositys sake

Thanks! This really tells me just was I was wondering. I wonder if the Cell tip suffers from the same issue as the Taom where the sides of the tip wear away when it rubs on the cloth.

I just got an OB speed break shaft made up for a butt I like. I'm looking to swap out the factory phenolic for something else. I think I have one Hammerhead left so leaning towards throwing that on there.

If a Cell tip fell into my hands, I'd install it and give it a shot.

I'll try breaking a few racks in to the cloth tonight and provide you with an update on how it does

No one else has tried this tip??

I have! I got one on my jump cue, which is a lomax, and it jumps awesome with or with out spin, I really like it better than any other jump tip i have tried. Now for the break cue, I had a samsara break tip and it was a great tip, I changed it and put the cell tip on and it breaks as good or better, for some reason i break better with it on the 9 ball, but I seem to break about the same on 8 ball, not sure why, but that is my experience so far. As far as the sides of the tip wearing when it hits the cloth, i dont know because i dont run my tip into the cloth when i break.
