Does anyone know of a replacement belt part number for a Mid Size Cue Smith? Small motor..... I did a search but nothing... On Chris's website the belt is $10 and shipping is $21.... Would like to just pick up one locally if possible.... It looks like a vacuum cleaner belt.. Thanks for any help

Give Chris a call for the belt, pretty sure the shipping will be much less.

I went back to his site and ordered 2 belts, a boring bar, and a brass lathe insert... 3 day shipping for all was $26.... So I'm guessing the minimum shipping cost is $21....

Try calling Chris I believe when I ordered my belts it was $8 flat rate through USPS I believe his web site quotes ups he also said there was a way to order then call in payment

Three day select is a waste of money as you are in a two or three day delivery range at ground rate.

Not to butt in but, Chris have you ever considered USPS priority for smaller items? They give you free boxes and the regular mail carrier will pick them up. 3 day shipping anywhere in the country with $50 insurance. You can ship a small flat rate or regional rate A box for around $6

Thanks for the extra belt......
The jaws open up to about 1.4....... I think that is the large bore.... ???

Not the jaws, but the hole going through the headstock itself. That is called the Spindle Bore. How big is that hole?

They have raised the price to a little over 7 bucks now. Was $5.15 just a year ago.

The biggest problem with UPS is how damned long it takes a ground package to get out here to the west coast compared to the postal service.

Chris however doesn't like the postal service for whatever reason.

I think he has stock in UPS:smile:
