I'll get a closer picture with a different camera that doesn't have dust in the lens, but I need some ASAP

Steve Klein got it from an AZ member who sold it on here as GE Micarta, but it turned out to not be so and he disappeared

If you know what this is, please let me know, I'll buy some today!

There were 3 different types offered on AZ. The original of course. 2Nd...a knife maker offered a type without asbestos in it. It played real nice. And based on color. The one you have which hits very hard. Much harder than the other 2. You might find it on ebay.

Thabks for the reply! Does anyone know who the knifemaker was? I'm dying for more of this. I found a couple of micarta that look similar, but not quite the same color

I don't care about the color if the material is the same, it actually feels softer than an Aegis or other melamine

That would be option 2. I believe his handle is knifemaker. Out of Texas.

His name was Perry. A gentleman to deal with. The AZB lynch mob roasted him severely several years ago and he hasn't been back. I was happy to sell whatever I had of that material as I didn't see the magic of it.

Hi Martin
I remember him being a gentleman. As for the mob. I'm not surprised. Glad I don't deal with them. For the Micarta he sold. I loved the way it played.

I once cut up an old cue ball and used if for ferrel material.
After about 3 months it looked that same color but I see grain in yours so that isnt it.
