Home Pool Room - What to Add Now?

Let's say you've been lucky enough to cover the basics, in a beautiful way...

You have the table you always wanted, playing like you always wanted it to.
You have a matching light that does a beautiful job.
You have enough space, good seating, a place to keep your cues and accessories, some nice art pieces on the walls, etc...

But you just don't feel like you're "done" yet... and you are on the hunt for a few things to give your home room a little something extra... the "it" factor, if you will.

What are the things you've seen (or imagined) in a home pool room that have/would make you say, "wow... this is a gorgeous setup, but I've never seen that before."?

Cheers,

Mike

Something that pumps out good tunes at a good volume, and some kind of nostalgic piece in a few corners of the room and on the walls. Like posters of your favorite album covers, event flyers with your favorite pros on them, that gumball machine you always used to pass at the pool hall when you were a kid..... damn I need to get a pool room.

Thoughts, as I am going through something similar (though having a wife with far different tastes makes it difficult):

Bar variations, depending on your tastes - wine racks, beer taps, nice glasses or liquor, even a fancy coffee/expresso maker if that's more appealing.

Big screen TV for friends to watch if they get bored while you tie up the table on a 300 ball run.

Get like a deer's head or something like that and place fake hunting rifle next to it.

You can put a real one up if you want lol, I wouldn't place a real one in case the house got broken into.

I also saw Deer head stolen out of a bar once.

I just might put an animals head in mines now that way I have something to sweat my action and place side bets with.

I was at a friends house one time and he has a barbers chair in his pool room. I always thought that was cool.

Shocked no one has suggested a stripper pole?

Anyway, I started my room three years ago and have a ton more ideas to add. I build everything I think of and some of these projects take weeks to complete.

Simply, if you have a theme to build on you should have no shortage of ideas. Time, price, subject are the only limiting factors.

This is the evolution of my room thus far..

I am guessing nobody suggested the stripper pole is because they really dont want to see any of their pool friends in the buff, thats the position Im taking anyway. :rotflmao1::rotflmao1:

Nice looking pool room you have. I noticed the lack of a stripper pole.:thumbup:

Big screen TV for friends to watch if they get bored while you tie up the table on a 300 ball run.

^^ surround sound for the TV and stereo....

and you need a nice camera set up, to capture those 300 ball runs, and to see if your friends cheat when you leave the room :)

And a fireplace,

and of course a "secret door" that leads to another secret cigar room......

Scoring beads, ball polisher, mini fridge, tv, stereo, high game chairs,

I personally added a pub table & stools, sofa and a golden tee arcade game to keep others busy if there's more than your opponent in the room. And lots of tvs!
