Just to recap: All five US players are still in (sky plays hatch next though). The one confirmed European pick is out. Alcaide is Out.

Take from that whatever you like.

Ralf Souquet, not Alcaide, is the only confirmed member of Team Europe. Souquet was eliminated earlier today.

Opposite thing happens at world 9 ball every year...every American minus Shane gets knocked out while all Euro elite are still in the runninf

All the Americans except Thorpe are in the Losers side already

All the leaders for Euros in World and Eurotour rankings are losers side or out.

To me seems like a wash because the Chinese, the Taiwanese, and a surprising Corey Deuel are pretty much laying waste to the field. Maybe Johan should have left one wildcard pick lol.

Oh and lets not forget Shaw, who I have a feeling has made a case so far that he will be a wild card pick this year. And of course, even though he is in trouble, Darren is still lurking on the winner side. Lets also not forget Thorston is actually have an interesting tournament as well, seems to have been a good year for the Germans thus far. Still a lot of pool to be played!

You forgot undefeated Albin Ouschan, who's 4th in the Euro Tour World Rankings currently. He can still leapfrog van den Berg for an automatic spot on the team.

Edit: Albin trailing Corey D. currently 7-1.

Very true, but that trailing score was the only reason I didn't include Albin. If he comes back and beats Deuel, he is right up there again. We'll also see what happens with NVB and Oscar either tonight or tomorrow :)

There seems to be some "conspiracy" to exclude Thorsten. Few years ago, he won W9B and some big tourney but they left him out of MC which is big injustice. Thorsten could win all the majors and the MC Euro decisionmakers would somehow leave him out.
Maybe Chamat may give him a chance

Same thing could be said for Justin

and toasti was a worldchamp at that time and surely showed enough efforts to be on the team unlike JB......completly different story!
