What did you plan on doing with it? A cue ball was my first thought.

Didn't really have a plan, but figured I'd come up with something.

One possible idea is a game, called "Football", after american football. Players pick endzones (top or bottom rails). Start game by breaking 15 balls. After break, place heavy metal ball in center of table. Goal is to pocket any ball and carom the cue ball into the heavy ball to move it towards your endzone (top or bottom rail). It is illegal to hit the heavy ball with the cue ball without first touching some other ball. The penalty is a loss of 10 yards (one diamond width). Use a marker on the rail like in real football to designate where the downline is. Touchdown if you get it to hit your endzone rail. Then clear table except metal ball... a field goal point is awarded if you can then kick three rails into the metal ball. Then start over.

Sounds fun in my head. Might be ridiculous in real life. I'll try it, lol.

I always felt that a set of balls about 1.5x normal weight would be good stroke practice, but 4x with normal weight object balls would probably just be damaging to the equipment.

I'd be more worried about it messing up the rubber on the rails, or hitting the rail, flying up in the air a foot, and dropping back onto the table.

If you use it as an object ball, I wouldn't recommend using force follow.

I dare you to order a full rack of these...have them laser engraved with numbers/stripes....and play pool with them. :D

I dare you....and post video.

At $58 per .. a full rack and cue is gonna run you close to a grand. One expensive set of balls .. but should wear well. :/

Well, that's part of the dare, isn't it?

There must be some distributor that sells wholesale. These are industrial steel bearings most likely used in a tumble chamber to crush material into small pieces. For $300 it might be more reasonable.
