All pool tables require a pocket facing in the opening of the angle, these thicker single layer facings make for a tighter pocket without having to stack facings in attempt in tightening the opening of the pocket, these facings aka shims help with decrease nasty ball rattle as well.

The 3/16ths are the same facings diamond uses on their tables.

POCKET FACINGS REQUIRE TO BE TRIMMED TO FIT THE PROFILE OF CUSHION AND RAIL ASSEMBLY before cloth installation.


I now offer 3/8ths thick facings and as always you'll need to trim the facing to the profile of cushion as shown below in pic.


Some prep and Neoprene glue required.

To clarify: the total width of the pocket will be reduced by 2 times the thickness of the facing used? (for example, with the 3/8" facings, two would be used per pocket therefore reducing the width by 6/8"). is that correct?

All... well all pool tables should have pocket facings/aka shims in place, most pool tables have 1/8 or 3/16 pocket facings in place from factory.
