Cue ID please

Another $5 flea market find in sweet Joe Porper 1x2. I always buy cases when there cheap, and before this goes on my firewood pile, is this anything? I suspect junk but one of these days I’m going to find a nice cue in these fine cases. Thank You in advance. You guys that take your time to ID stuff are the best!

IDK but other than the ferrule which looks 'off'- It doesn't look that junky to me.

great bar cue. may be an old custom cue. just need a new shaft. standard 18 threads so many used shafts will fit close enough.

Butt sleeve design looks Karl Mayer-ish.

Thanks guys I don’t know if this helps but the cue has only two points. Threads are 5/16 x 18

Could be Karl Meyer, he used 5/16 18 I believe on the joint screw, i had one once, I think he did piloted joints as well, his butt sleeve ring work is close, too. could also be a reworked Masterstroke, or similar 50's Brunswick cue reworked.

Hi, I thought I’d add two more photos. I don’t know if these will mean anything to anybody. I noticed under the wrap at least three 1/2” plugs. Spaced two inches apart and 3/4” inward in a spiral pattern. I’m assuming weights. Also a picture under the bumper. Thanks again for your help.

I would assume they are weights as well.

Mayer did use bumpers like that. My Mayer has that bumper.

The pilot resembles mine, though not identical.

He also did tend to put a large bevel on the end of the butt cap, at least in later cues.

That weight bolt is different than mine.
