Cuemaker question - tapping a Revo

If I had a cue with a kevlar insert in the shaft (Zylr) and I had a uniloc Revo shaft: would it be possible to drill out the uniloc part of the Revo and remove the Kevlar insert from the Zylr shaft and insert the kevlar insert from the Zylr into the Revo shaft?

Maybe a better question than "would it be possible" is - are there any cue makers out there who feel reasonably confident in trying something like this?

I quess there may be one more question. Is the outcome you're expecting worth the expences and loss of warranty for the Revo?

better asked in cuemaker section....this voids all possible warranty and places all responsibility on the cuemaker for anything that goes wrong.....regardless if a customer says its ok.....this must be understood first and foremost.

Dont be surprised that you do not get any takers.

Ah good call - I will re-post in the cue maker section.

As far as cost and liability, I would provide the shafts with no expectations and compensate the cue maker for their time and effort regardless of outcome - fully understanding that both shafts might be destroyed.

If it doesn't work out, I will just wait until next year when Predator starts making Revo shafts for new joint pin sizes.
