I notice a lot of players do not like the APA because slop counts. I don't play APA so I am not taking up for those that do, but I was wondering why it is okay to slop a ball in playing for the Mosconi Cup and it is considered okay or even a great shot?
For instance I saw a clip of Jayson Shaw clearly trying to go three rails to kick a ball in the side pocket when he clipped the side of the ball and made it in the corner. The commentators were saying it was a great shot when all he did was slop it in the wrong pocket. Why is this okay and APA slop not?
