Hello All! I need a little info. I’m looking at a 7 ft. Brunswick Bar Box and can pick it up for little or nothing. Is the table comparable to a Valley? Also, can I put Ridgeback Rails on it? Will it matter if the table has a different rail bolt system? 3 bolt, 4 bolt, etc. All input appreciated. Pics attached.

I cant comment on the build quality or likeness to a Valley as the only Brunswick bar box I have worked on was their metro series. As far as Ridgeback rails go, call Kerry, I know he will usually make custom sets of rails, but IIRC they cost a little bit more than his off the shelf Valley and Dynamo rails, and depending on where in his production run of off the shelf sets he is it might take upwards of a couple of months for him to be willing or able to reconfigure his machinery to produce a one off set.

That's the Brunswick Gold Crown 2000 model coin op, produced in the 80's. You're going to have to send the cushion blocks to Kerry in order for him to reproduce them. They're not hard to produce, I use to build them all the time, but the blocks are needed to reproduce the same specs as they're not interchangeable with Valley rails.

I have spoke with Kerry and he said due to the lack of request on that table that he’s not producing them
at this time. I was disappointed because my goal was to get it to play as close to a diamond as possible. Everybody keeps saying Ridgeback rails and Simonis 860 will be as close as I can get. The Cushion blocks are in good condition so what’s my next best option? The cushions on it now, which I’m sure it’s the originals (Superspeeds) need replacing. If it’s a U23 profile what’s the best cushion out there that I can replace it with. Any and all input is appreciated.

RKC, I responded to your response in the next post down. I thought I was responding here.
Thx

RKC, I know that the Superspeed original cushions are on it but it's the U23 profile and if I'm not mistaken I don't think they make them in that profile any longer. Correct me if I'm wrong! If that's the case what is the next best cushion in the U23 I can get. Thanks

Measure the width of the cushions across the top from the nose of the cushion to the rail block, U23 is 1". Also post a picture of the cushion mounted to the rail block if you can.

Nope, as I thought, not U23 cushions, later version K55 profile Superspeed cushions, almost 1 3/16" wide, so now do what I suggested in the first place....install new superspeed cushions...LOL the newer ones will only overhang on the bottom of the rail block just a hair as they're slight wider, but acceptable.
