Right now odds are: Europe -250, US +170. So its already basically 2-to-1 and teams haven't been finalized. BTW, most Euro sites offer a total balls made over/under bet as well. Crazy.

Close, yes, but not over. There are still 4 ranking events to be completed, including the current Kremlin Cup. The last ranking event is the International Open in Norfolk on Oct. 21-27.

Three players will qualify automatically based on their positions on the "Combined Ranking" and "European Ranking" lists, and two players will be wildcard picks by the captain (Chamat). Current points standings can be found here: http://www.matchroompool.com/mosconi-cup/#teamEurope
 
Looks like Feijen beat Ouschan 8-5 and Kazakis beat Gorst 8-7 today in the semifinals. So it'll be Feijen vs. Kazakis at 4 am eastern USA time (EDT) tomorrow (about 15 hours from now) in the finals.

The whole single elimination after 32 leaves much to be desired, but oh well. It is what it is. It works in the world championships because the races are longer. But for race to 8, should be full double elimination imo.
 
congrats to The Terminator! 8-7! And another finals for Kazabooboo! A few mistakes by both men, but great final.

I wish the steam video was a little more in focus but it was nice to catch the last half of the match. Niels the Terminator was true to form especially on that final rack. The shot on the 5 ball down the side....the down and back on the 6 to just barely get there on the 7 in the side...then that 8 ball cross table to the corner for position on the 9...wow, some clutch shooting.
His machanics are flawless. Pressure doesn't effect him. He literally is a cyborg cyberdyne systems model 101.

Congratulations, Niels. I think he has 3 daughters now so he needs big pay days. :grin-square:
 
Did someone stream this using a flip-fone??? Wow, gave me a headache trying to focus on a out-of-focus feed. Pool was great tho.

Agree! with the 7 married to the 10 on the spot, his shot on the 6 needed to be perfect...and it was!!

Congratulations to Niels, but i think that he got a little lucky on some crucial points! I can't be 100% objective though, since i know alex!
