Diamond and back to pool

My campaign for procuring a carom table for my home is over, my lovely wife gave her final resounding "NO", lol. I am to go back to the pool world, and the only table that she approves of is a brand new clear coat maple Professional Diamond with power-blue cloth. Not an entirely bad problem to have :) . Just gotta finish some mud and sanding and flooring before I can save for that purchase.

Does anyone know if Diamond makes switch-out straight rails for carom games? I understand that the games won't be played the same with pool equipment and 860 cloth but at least it could be some sort of satisfaction. If not I'll just treat the pockets as hazards. I also can not find any current manufacturers of pocket blockers.

Also if anyone has any DigiCue BLUE questions feel free to PM me, I know OB is busy this time of year.

Thanks

Sorry to say, but dont bother.

Carom games on a pool table are so different from the real thing, adding pockets to the situation isnt really much worse.

Just play carom games with the pool balls and have rules for what happens if a ball is pocketed. I spot a made OB on the foot spot and if it is occupied, then spotted ball goes to head spot. CB spots center table and it is not a foul if you score a point and cb goes in the pocket.

Almost exactly what I do. Red ball always goes on foot spot, cue balls (yellow or white) always goes on head spot. Any occupation lock-ups or frozen-balls, set up opening break.

2C is fun on a pool table. 3C can be a bit much because the side pocket really cuts off a lot of routes. Even just blocking the side pockets can change things.

Anyway, 1p and 14.1 and hybrids. I don't have much motivation for 9b anymore.
