A pool player and good friend died recently. He left 46 cues behind with his son and I am trying to sort out what is there for him.
There are two Schon cues I have not been able to find in any of the many old Schon catalogs I have looked through online. It would be nice to determine a model number, approximate age and retail value when new or an educated guess.

The cues in question are cues number 5 and 6 in the attached picture. The others in this picture I have already figured out except number 1 which has no makers markings and I suspect is an inexpensive entry level cue.

No doubt I will have more cues to post and ask about down the road. The quality of the various cues seems to be all over the place! Everything from a Simpsons cue to a Cognoscenti!

Thanks for any assistance with this.

5 and 6 are Schon cues. I have all the info on the McDermotts and the Lucasi. They were easy to find in the archived catalogs.
Oops! I see I referenced the wrong cue so I edited the first post. Thanks.

The point on #6 looks a little strange to me. I was talking to Evan Clark one time and was
telling me that they experimented alot with forearms from one cue and the butt end and
rings from other cues. Maybe it's a one-off?
What does the joint look like?

Evan said once over on the Schon FB page that changes/alterations were made almost daily. That cue(#5) looks a lot like a CX model. #6 I've never seen before. It says "Schon" on buttcap? Not clear in pic.

#6. Ive seen schons with rings like that.....older ones. The one in pic has cnc points and the length of points is way off. I have some doubts about that cue.

No doubt. Something really off with those short points. Does it have long points also or just 4 short ones?

I would be interested in the Simpsons cue if the butt is straight. My own version of the Bud hustler stick.

The #5 and 6 cues do clearly have the Schon logos on the butt but you can't see them so well in the picture. I have pics of the butts alone from these these 2 that show the Schon logo. I don't have the cues here but I can get other pictures via email when needed.

I'll dig through the Viking catalogs and see if I can find the #1 cue in there somewhere. Viking has a LOT of online catalogs to dig through!

Looks like a CX01

Yes they do, I started looking yesterday but then had to get some work done

Yup, cue 5 is. You win the Cupie! I must have overlooked it when I was digging through all the Schon cues.

Cue #6 is still a Schon mystery. I don't like the short points it has. I have seen that on other cues once in a while. Looks goofy to me.

It almost looks like a long-shot-long-short that they goof'd on and shouldn't have been sold. Very strange looking cue. Its weirdness may be worth some $$. Never know.

Are the points in #6 nacre (MOP)? I am using a cell phone, so it's difficult to see the picture in detail.

If they are, could be the reason for the shorter point length.
