I have no where to put a pool table (storage now I guess), but out of the blue someone offered be a very good deal on a 5 month old Rasson Victory 2 Plus (what she called it). I see these on streams along with Star, Joy, and other brands I've never shot on (although I did shoot on a older Rasson, ~15years ago), but I'm not sure how well they play. For 1/2 the price I can find on the lowest website, it's still a lot of money, so of course I'll have to shoot on it a few minutes but I'm wondering if there is any known hidden/common issues.

It's 9 feet and she doesn't know the cloth or pocket sizes, just had 2 pictures (it does look new). Only thing that doesn't add up is why she is calling it with the Plus in the name, I don't see a "Plus" on the Victory 2, could it be a knock off?

The Victory II Plus is on the Rasson website. https://www.rasson.cn/home. Click on "Products," then "Pool," then "Victory." (I tried to link Victory directly, but it kept going back to the Home page.)

the rails suck on those. if a good player you will never be happy with that table. a recent olhausen is a better choice if you are looking for cheaper.
after a year or two you will have wished you spent the few thousand extra for one of the two top brands.

What about them, makes you say that they "suck"?

Where do you get your info? These are waaay better built than any Olhausen. I've played on the model right below this one and it played fine. The V2+ at Steinway used for the WPS played good also from what i heard. V2+ isn't cheap, around 7500 new for a 9ft. I'd rather buy a Diamond Pro myself.

People see a couple weird things happen on a TV table with brand new cloth under bright lights and they start to spin exotic stories about how the tables suck, even though they have never played on a Rasson in their lives.

I agree. I've seen brand new Diamonds, set-up by Diamond techs, play pretty funky with new Simonis. T.V. lights make them even slicker and funkier. Simonis takes about a month of play(depending on play volume) to play right.

Rails are playing like old ping-pong Diamonds.
Also pocket shelf is even deeper than Diamond. Which is way too much. When object ball is hanging deep you often can't one rail it at all.
And table does not keep level good enough. All things considered better to go something else.
I also heard rumour that there is new version coming out soon which should adress these problems.

Just 2 cents from table mechanic from Finland that can play some too.

Good info. Good to know.

i play daily on rasson victory 2 + table and i absolutely love it more than eny diamond table we play with 4.3.. intch pockets and those are deep, rails are perfect and hitting from the rail is alot harder than in other tables when you test it you will understund it. if you like easy tables get another table. true is that they dont stay level too long.

I know this post is 4 years old. But It's the only place I see people evaluating the Rasson Victory. My question is, because of the central base, is it easier for the table to get unbalanced or unlevel if a player has to sit on a corner or put lots of weight on the table for a cross table shot or jump shot that's in the center of the table?

If you sit on, or just push down on a corner of the Victory, it will flex as much as an inch.
My local hall replaced one with the Ox model, and it is very solid and plays great.

I thought the top part of the tables are the same between the two tables. I've only played on the OX model.
