Yes, 2008. Alex was down by 22 games at 41-63 and won 100-64, a 28 game reversal. Their second such event (2011) was tied at 67, then Shane beat Alex by 16 from that point.
So Alex won 59 - 1 from this point?

So, despite the lead of 12 games, it is no certainty that Shane will beat Shaw.
One little stats tidbit. For the first 27 games last night, Shane had 3 B&Rs on 14 breaks, or 21%. For the second 27 games last night, Shane had 13 B&Rs on 19 breaks, or 68%. Quite a second half of the first day!
So Alex won 59 - 1 from this point?

I bet on Alex and watched that love. Around 08 I think. He ended up winning but that was a very inexperienced SVB. Alex barely escaped that time and didn’t do well in that format against him again.
Thanks for the link... Oy Vey! WTF is the promoter thinking. Im not watching the stream but I hope they can the stupid score card girls.
someone's not aware or don't remember how the first race to 100 went
Alex: Hold my beer
I believe you mean SVB lost 100-94, not 64. This was clear to me as it matches your match and my memory, just clarifying to others that Alex didn’t win 59 out of 60!
I agree a 12 game lead isn’t decisive. I think 20 is the number that becomes insurmountable. As I mentioned SVB was very inexperienced in 08. He learned from that match and I can’t see anyone ever overcoming that type of lead again.
Now, what changes things a little is the rising level of the break and play. Shaw could run a few 3-5 packs and make up a lot of ground in just a few innings. But I think from up 20 on the middle of the second day he’d have to be a 20:1 underdog.
But SVB isn’t up 20, and if Shaw makes up any ground today at all it could be a photo finish. If Shaw ends today -7 for example then it would be a heck of a sweat. And if he gets near even he could still run away with it.
This is why I find this format exciting. It may not have the hill-hill thriller aspect, but two champions are battling hard and you really can’t predict what will happen.

Typo, sorry. 94, not 64.
[59-31 is still pretty good.]
Can someone who has the stream tell me if it's looping overnight? I'd like to buy the stream tonight but going to miss about 2 hour and would like to know if it'll be looping.
Another B&R Shane 37-21 now 16 rack lead
I see only 1 ring girl today (covered up and no bikinis )![]()
