Cue Weight Markings?

I have a question. I just got three used Brunswick Centennial cues, 18, 19, and 20 oz. The weight is indicated on the country of origin stickers (Canada), and they just don't look great. I'd like to remove them, but also have a convenient and aesthetically pleasing way to indicate the weight, like a nice, water-slide decal, or perhaps a stamping in the wood or butt collar or butt cap; preferably, something that can be seen while the cue is in the rack.

Any ideas, suggestions?

Like house cues?
Buy a cheap set of 3/16" or 1/4" number stamps and press the wts in where you want to see them? Set the cue in a wooden cradle and press the numbers in a press, (or vise) don't swat them.

Better - set cue up on your pantograph in an indexer, select script desired, choose ratio for size, and individually rout the numbers in, rotating as necessary between each digit. Don't go very deep. Fill with black epoxy.

If no pantograph, you could lightly dimple each cue and fill with colored paint - yellow means 19, green means.. etc and have a chart on the wall or a decoder ring.

Or just write the numbers on with a sharpy.

Thanks for the reply. Some good ideas. I was thinking of making some clear background water-slide decals. You can get laser printer stock for this.

The Sharpie idea is starting to look attractive!

My daughter is an architect who went to an artsy school, and did calligraphy; if I go the Sharpie route, I'll ask her to do it. Now I'm thinking she cold do it with gold ink. I think she already has such permanent markers.
