Cue joint

I bought a cue that has ivory diamond inlays in the joint itself, not the rings. It also has male 5/16x18 pins in the shafts and a female insert in the butt, (reversed style joint). Anyone have a clue as to the make of this style joint?

Does the butt get very thin at the butt cap.
If so Mr. John Robinson comes to mind.
