Just finished watching the shut out by Efren Reyes against Mika Immonen at the 2005 Derby City Classic. The Sardo Tight Rack was being used. It seemed to be used a lot at that time. Just wondering if anbody knows why it was stopped being used back then. I know the magic racks are easier to use and carry nowadays.

The Sardo rack was about $150, super clunky, and people at the time said it only worked right if you tapped the table like crazy. A friend of mine won a breaking contest at the Expo (in like 2003), and the reward was a Sardo Rack. He either threw it in the trash or gave it away, I forget.

Right about 2007 or so, the Magic Ball Rack came out. For $10, it worked better than anything before or after, by a large margin.

IDK if the Sardo was dead before the Magic Rack came out, or the Magic Rack killed it.
