Black ferrule on a Cynergy?

Nashville craigslist has a Cuetec Ebony with Cynergy shaft on sale for $500. (Yes, overpriced).

The pictured shaft has a black ferrule. Is that legit?

I don't think Cynergy comes with anything but white. That's kinda their shtick. That said, it looks like someone hit it with a black marker to me.

i got my carbon shaft with a black thing on it, not cynergy though

The cynergy comes with either. I chose white, then I put black tape over it because that bright white out there was too much. Pulled the tape off, the ferrule is dirty, life is good!

My guess is it’s a knock off, I’d check the shaft for further proof that it is indeed cutec. There should be a laser engraving towards the shaft joint. LoxL makers can build a carbon shaft for $90 these days.

I recollect the dealer offering me a black or white ferrule but looks like I recollect wrong, I only see white at the cuetec site!

Fedor has a black ferrule on his cynergy. Custom job since they don’t make them. Heard on some stream it was a carbon fiber ferrule but don’t know if that’s true.

I’m from Nashville and I’m like 90% sure I know who’s cue that is. My guess knowing him is he colored it with a marker.
