Pheeew! Last thing I knew, my Captain said, "Better dog her down, boys, this one is going to be fresh."

Zeta taught me what how a boxer must feel after barely surviving 3 rounds as he prays and thanks god it wasn't 12. A true buzzsaw.

Philadelphia experiment fused to MKUltra LSD experiments. Seems to be some kind of 2 dimensional manifestation. Lots of colorful round things. Oh wait they changed into squares.😲

Yeah, a little pissant of a storm nailed me mightily years ago. You can be in the right place and some major storms not have much impact, the wrong place and a weaker storm hits like a ton of bricks. Glad you are OK and posting!

An off topic chuckle from years ago. Hurricane Hazel had degraded to a strong tropical storm when it hit where a benchrest match was scheduled to be held. The organizers didn't figure they needed to announce it canceled when they were dead in the path of a named storm. A dozen shooters showed up. Winds were only around 40-50 with stronger gusts, they had a match. Good times!

Hu, large bore or small bore. .22lr in 40-50+gust's would be, interesting.

That was before small bore got going around here. I hate to think how far a small bore would fly outside a group if a 20-25 mile an hour gust over the prevailing wind caught you! Small bore was a mess anyway. Ammo was being made to Olympic needs which didn't begin to match our demands.

I was shooting smallbore next to Don Geraci one day. He asked if I had crossfired. "No, it is a fly. He just left my target." A few seconds later Don said, "Yeah, you are right. He is looking down the hole. Got him!" I tried to argue that Don's group should be measured to the edges of the splatter mark, just in fun of course! Benchrest competition was a blast. Competitors were far friendlier than in most things since the real competition was with the target and conditions.

Yeah, windless days make small bore a rip. I use my father's Remington #37 Range master with 16X micrometer mount scope, floating barrel and two set screws up front that you set with a test light to allow for weather/humidity. Best trigger I ever felt. Bugs are good targets.
