Anybody know what year Mike went from putting the 'JC' on the buttcap to signing them? I was just given a classic 4pt with 'bushka rings and abalone notched diamonds. Its stamped 'JC' on the cap. I'm so jazzed i can hardly stand it. I'll post pics when i can.

From the 3rd edition Blue Book of Pool Cues

Jensen cues made since 2003 are marked with "Jensen" and the year of completion. Although many early Jensen cues have no exterior markings, many have "Jensen" and the year of completion under the wrap. Early Jensen cues with "JC" on the Delrin butt caps are easy to identify.

Early Jensen- that's just like playing with a Balabushka right there- only it says JC on the buttcap - Enjoy!

maybe even a Gus since Mike claims him as his mentor and says his builds closely follow the Gus method including the use of buzz rings. 😎

take your pick, either is awesome.

I love Jensen cues.

Congrats on getting an old one. 👍

This is true. One of the times I was at Mike's house, late 80's I think. He showed me a Gus he had. We talked about cue construction. He builds a great hitting cue. He's not building many now since his motorcycle accident.
