When was the last time you played Pool away from home?

Last March was the last time for me. Fortunately I can play at home, but boy do I miso going out.
 
I've been going to the local bars for leagues or to practice for many, many months 2-3 times a week. This week I went to leagues two nights. Definitely the virus has been spreading around more in my town. Last week 2 bars closed for 1-2 weeks. They need to make-up their league matches for those weeks.

Our entire league shutdown for 1 week just 2 weeks ago, because a wife of the guy who runs the league tested positive. A guy on both of my teams tested positive about a week ago too. They each took one week off and they both played this week.

My feeling from the start of this virus thing has been that I will likely be exposed to it. Nobody in any bar in our leagues has wore a mask. The two guys on my teams that got the virus both had mild symptoms. No worse than a mild cold or flu and the symptoms were gone in 2-4 days. These guys were between 55-65 years old. We aren't letting the virus totally stop our lives or our leagues.

Good for you, raise a glass and toast my late friend Flame. He died this Wednesday, I guess you could say the virus stopped his life. 63 years old, he had some miles left on him, he went to soon.

Sorry about your friend. But life is full of choices. We all need to make the decisions that we feel give us the life that we want to have.
 
Been playing since late August at a local Vets club and in a couple of local bar leagues.
 
am lucky to play any time I want at our rec center in the adult community I live in. It is me and a couple of other old guys. Crappy 8 footers but I am happy to get out .

We are playing here in NH (APA). Tables are not open yet in MA so we have had some teams from MA coming over the border to play in this session.

Boston lost a great place when FlatTop Johnny's (Cambridge) closed recently. Pool halls are becoming an endangered species.
 
Sunday - I went to my favorite little Billiard Parlor, to practice my banks for a few hours. Then, won a few game$ against a couple old gamblers.

Going out tonight, to play low stakes at another spot.
