Does anyone know a place or website I can go to find information on local leagues? Not just APA or any one organization, but like all available leagues in my area?

Please forgive me if this isn't the right forum or if this question has been covered. I've tried and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

Look in the "sticky" threads at the top of the thread listing for this forum. One of them will refer to goplaypool.com which tries to list all pool halls in the US and what they offer. One of the search items is "leagues". You will have to follow up with calls, of course.

The info is not going to be perfect, but it is a place to start. It is a tremendous amount of work to maintain such a list, and often the room owners can't be bothered to provide info. If you discover corrections, you should let goplaypool know.

There have been regional pool newspapers that included "where to play" listings, but I think those are all gone now.
 
There probably isn't one resource to let you know what's available in any given geographic area, at least online. Your best bet for info would be to check with a local pool room owner. Or regular players at any of the area rooms.

If you want to pursue it online (or by phone) you'd have to contact each league system and see if they have theirs offered near where you live. APA covers more territory than the others, but that's not a given. There is an area in our state which has Valley League (or used to, last I was aware of) and Valley isn't available here, for instance.

The other advantage of calling the local rooms, is that if they offer an in-house league, its not likely to be listed in any sort of database.

Sorry its not gonna be easier.

Also, try a search on google maps for "billiard parlor" and "pool room" -- those two searches give different results. Yelp might help, but don't pay much attention to the reviews. In either case, you will have to follow up with phone calls, especially given the current "interesting situation." Some rooms have websites or FB pages, but many are out of date. One local room that just closed permanently still has a functioning website and a map listing saying it will open soon.

Yeah, I did the Google searching. Somewhat helpful. Except for results that show up and I call and the number's been disconnected or the pool hall's closed permanently 😂
Thanks for all your help! I've actually found a couple places in my area I never knew about. Neither has leagues, but one does have tournaments, so that's a win!

If/when you go there, ask those folks about any leagues around. They'll know...

This.

We have a city league in the next town over but if you were new to the area you'd never know.

Other then the main leagues (APA, BCA, VNEA, etc.) it's hard to find information without asking. I created a FB group (I no longer run it) for local tourneys/leagues in the Boise area, maybe check FB as well.
