Looked to me that it used more ghost ball than CTE.

It does not look like he has the concept of spin properly incorporated into his physics model either.

I am assuming the robot is unable to apply English to the cue ball, or able to be able to get exact shape that it needs to be on the next ball, and see ahead through the entire rack, before pocketing the 1st shot. Very cool, but it reminds me of those pool computer games that align the shot for you, but do not allow you to apply English to the cue ball, or allow you to change the way you stroke through the cue ball.

Please don't knock Godfather 3 which I tot was a decent 2nd sequel . A better companion for double feature is Speed 2

He's using geometry to aim. And ray tracing to teach it the best shot to choose to pocket a particular ball. Also, at the end of the youtube video he mentions that he will next attempt to incorporate spin. Also he plans eventually teach it to choose which shot to shoot (pattern play). Similar to the chess computers. He could really use Dr Dave's advise imo.

I found it especially amazing that the cue tip wasn't chalked and it was still hitting the ball decent by the end of the video.
