Cheating a coin chute? Is this possible?

Many years ago I was traveling west I believe after leaving Somerset Kentucky. Not sure how long after but I got on a toll parkway. Damned thing was eating coins like a one armed bandit. The booths had a big assed cone, maybe six feet across, that you could throw coins in on the fly and keep on rolling. I wondered what all hit that cone! In earlier days a dirty diaper or two could have been a temptation. I was more annoyed by the constant slowdowns than by the money.
An oddity, between parkways and interstates and such I drove from Somerset Kentucky to Acey(St Amant) Louisiana without ever even going through a traffic light. Kinda cool in a Twilight Zone kind of way.

Not coin related but in the early 80's I was a regional manager for a group of auto parts stores. I later became their internal auditor, then controller, (CFO). We had a situation where the bank statement for one of the locations wasn't balancing with what the reports said was going to the bank. Turned out a retail customer was writing checks drawn on a Canadian bank for parts. Canadian dollars were worth about 75 cents USD. He knew what he was doing. By the time we discovered what was happening he was long gone. Store managers and the counter salesmen got an education.

What an idiot, all just to save a few bucks dropping the balls, its not like he making $50 or a $100 bucks on each game he steals.

So I know it is going to go over your head but I was hoping someone who owned a barbox would try this. or would know if this is even possible.
If I owned my own barbox I could try this. And I would even though it would be stupid cause it could damage the mechanism. But still it is cool to know. I find stuff like this fascinating knowing how things work.

I’m surprised no one mentioned where many ‘slugs’ came from in the early 50s. We kids would scrounge construction sites after hours, and pick up the knock-outs from electrical boxes. Two sizes (nickel & quarter). It’s been too long to remember, but while they seldom worked in cigarette or pop machines, I think the condom machines in gas station restrooms were vulnerable (?).
Yes and then if it works they contact the company and tell them of this security flaw and get it fixed. At least this is how it works in the computer world and the lock world. Or they find out it works and swap out their pool table coin chutes for better ones that it does not work on. Or it does not work and they tell this video is a lie.

A bit north now off I-55 just south of the MS border. I owned a strip of land in Acey that the ST Amant Baptist Church sign is on now. Bits and pieces all over Ascension when I was buying and selling land. A lot on the diversion canal, some pieces I barely remember. A few in Livingston Parish too. If you ride up fifty-five often let me know, we will drink a cup of coffee or hit a ball.

I lived in Jackson and Hattiesburg, from 1975 until 1983, I still go to Jackson occasionally, up I-55 of course. Give you a shout next time I head that way.
The old pool room in Ellijay, Ga put in some bar boxes many years ago and kept finding washers mixed in with the quarters in them. The owner suspected a certain kid was probably doing it. So he emptied all coin boxes on the bar tables right before the kid normally comes in. The kid came in and started playing a game. The owner then went over opened the coin box and took the two washers out and just showed them to the kid and said, I wonder how those got in there? And then walked off never saying another word about it. The kid never did it again.
